Public Affairs
EBE has a specialised Public Affairs Committee active in building and communicating common industry positions to promote and formulate policies creating a favorable scientific, business and regulatory environment for the research-based biopharmaceutical industry operating in Europe.
The Public Affairs Committee is now actively working in developing policies and positions on the following topics:

- EU's Competitiveness and Innovation Programme for 2007-2013
- “Biotechnology for Europe” Study (EC / JRC)
- Review of Animal Welfare Directive
- Handling of biobanks
- European networks of Biotechnology clusters
- Nanotechnology and medicines
- Biosimilars
- Organisation of policy forums
- Release of background papers and other information tools to educate various stakeholders about the contribution of the biopharmaceutical sector.
